Gunmen have continued their onslaught on Kaduna schools with the attack on a private university Tuesday night, leading to the abduction of an unspecified number of students.
This is the third attack on schools in the state since the beginning of this year.
The gunmen Tuesday midnight were said to have attacked Green Field University in Kaduna State.
They reportedly fired several gunshots to scare away residents before kidnapping some students.
The private university is located along the Kaduna–Abuka highway in the Chikun Local Government, which has been one of the hotspots of banditry in the state.
Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, was not immediately available for comment on the latest abduction of students.
