Gunmen in fresh attack on Plateau community kill 6
At least six people were killed in a gunmen attack in Congo, a village within the Bokkos local government area of Plateau State, on Tuesday night.
Community sources reported that the assault occurred around 7 PM, shortly after the local market had closed for the day, leaving only a few traders and customers behind.
According to residents, the attackers stormed the market and opened fire, resulting in the deaths of the six victims. One individual was injured and is currently in critical condition receiving medical attention.

This violent incident has heightened tensions in the area, which has faced increasing attacks on various communities within Bokkos LGA in recent times.
As of the latest reports, the spokesperson for the state police command, DSP Alabo Alfred, had not yet responded to inquiries regarding the incident.
