Gunmen invade old Oyo National park, kill one, injure many
Gunmen reportedly invaded the forest reserve which is part of the old Oyo National Park in Saki East Local Government on Monday, Nov. 14.
According to reports, one person was killed and two people were abducted by the bandits.
Many were also injured during the attack.

However, in a statement, the Public Relations Officer of the Oyo State Police Command, Adewale Osifeso, said that no life was lost during the incident.
According to him, preliminary investigations revealed that some local vigilante groups around the location, while in pursuit of alleged abductors, engaged them in a gun duel, resulting in three of their members (vigilantes) sustaining injuries.
“Consequent on the above, it is important to note that no life was lost; the injured are presently responding to the medical intervention availed to them at the hospital,” the statement read.
