Gunmen yesterday killed two people and abducted four others, amongst them, Reverend Father Joseph Akeke of Kudenda Catholic Church in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Daily Trust gathered that the two people killed were identified as Luka, a local guard manning the house of the Reverend Father and Isiaka Aremu, whose home was also attacked by the bandits.
Apart from the Reverend Father, the gunmen also kidnapped a woman and her two adult children.
An eyewitness told Daily Trust that the gunmen invaded the community around 1am on Tuesday, shooting sporadically. The operation was said to have lasted till 2:30am.

Our correspondent who visited the community yesterday reports that the gunmen attacked three residents simultaneously.
It was gathered that the incident led to tension within the community as residents trooped out at night after the bandits fled.
Speaking with Daily Trust, Isiaka Aremu’s son said his father lived alone and could not fathom how the bandits gained entry to the house.
The police spokesman in Kaduna, ASP Mohammed Jalige, when contacted said he needed time to find out the actual situation and promised to call back.
However, attempts to reach him later were unsuccessful as he did not respond to calls.
