Gunmen have attacked a hotel in Ilorin, Kwara State, killing the owner, Kayode Akinyemi, and abducting his friend simply called Ori.
Manager of the hotel, Emmanuel Olushola Ojo, was said to have been seriously injured and presently receiving treatment at the General Hospital, Ilorin.
The incident, which threw the area into panic, was confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Kwara State Command, Ajayi Okasanmi (SP).
He said the command’s tactical team in conjunction with vigilante and hunters had been mobilised to comb the surrounding bushes for possible rescue of the victim and arrest of the suspects.
He also said the corpse of the victim had been deposited in the general hospital mortuary for autopsy.
