Gunmen kill three Ondo farmers in ambush
Three farmers have been shot dead at Ajagbusi community in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo state while on their way to their farm.
The farmers were reportedly were ambushed on their to the farm and shot dead by yet to be identified gunmen on Tuesday morning while riding a motorcycle.
The attackers reportedly fled the scene after the killing.
While confirming the incident, the spokesperson for the Ondo Police Command, DSP Ayanlade Olushola, said police have deployed operatives to apprehend the killers of the three farmers.

Olushola, who said that the command had deployed all its tactical team to the affected community, urged residents not to take laws into their hands, and allow the security agencies to perform their lawful duty.
According to him, the command has mobilise all the needed resources to the affected area to ensure that the perpetrators are arrested and face the full wrath of the law.
“Yes, three farmers were killed by gunmen, and tactical teams have been deployed to the area to restore order and apprehend the assailants.
“So, security agencies are in place to forestall any breakdown of law and order in the area. The command urge all law abide citizens to go about their business without any fear,” Olushola said.
