Gunmen kill university student caught recording them on video

A 300 Level Medical Rehabilitation student of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State, simply identified as Miss Chioma, was among those shot dead by gunmen in Nnewi on Sunday afternoon, Tribune Online is reporting.

According to the newspaper, the undergraduate was shot on the thigh while recording the shooting by the gunmen.

She did the recording with her mobile phone.

The gunmen had caused havoc in the industrial city of the state.

According to a source, she was rushed to the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi for urgent treatment, but no attention was given to her due to the ongoing doctors strike.

“Chioma bled to death while waiting,” the source added.
