Gunmen kill two policemen in Imo
Gunmen terrorising Nigeria’s south east region have killed two policemen in Imo State.
The police officers were gunned down after the assailants ran into them while they were on duty at Akabo, Ikeduru Local Government Area of the state.
A civilian was also shot during the attack that happened around past 6:00 am on Tuesday, a local familiar with the incident disclosed.

“The policemen were on checkpoint when the gunmen attacked them. Two laid dead and another man was also shot.
“It happened few minutes past 6AM”, the source said.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Henry Okoye, has not commented on the incident.
Last week, at least five soldiers were killed by gunmen in Abia States.
