Head of Bororo community in Oro-Ago, Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, Alhaji Sheidu Madawaki, has been murdered.
A family source said three gunmen invaded his residence around 9:30pm on Sunday and shot him dead.
The source told The Nation, “They were three in number. One of them stationed himself outside the residence, shooting intermittently while two went into the house and shot him in his bedroom.”
The source said police and other security operatives visited the scene on Monday.
Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has met with the Fulani community in the state, assuring them of fair treatment.
The Fulani in Kwara, like other communities in the state, would get government’s protection and patronage in terms of infrastructure projects and social security programmes, the governor told them.
The meeting was attended by Fulani leaders and other representatives from across the 16 local government areas of the state.
