No fewer than 11 persons have been confirmed dead in Igama and Edumoga Ehaje areas of Okpokwu Local Government Area of Benue State.
Herdsmen were blamed for the attack, which took place yesterday.
The Nation was told that that many buildings in the communities have been razed down by the attackers.
The attack was said to have struck fear in the hearts of neighbouring villagers, who reportedly fled their homes in the aftermath of the yesterday’s incidents.
Senator Abba Moro confirmed the assault on the two communities in a Facebook post.
The senator hails from Okpokwu local government area.
