History as 2025 Abuja Motor Fair goes under covered pavilions

History as 2025 Abuja Motor Fair goes under covered pavilions

The iconic Abuja International Motor Fair is set to celebrate its landmark 25th edition with a bold transformation that marks a new era for Nigeria’s leading automotive event.
Scheduled to hold from Tuesday, November 18 to Friday, November 21, 2025, at Eagle Square, Abuja, this year’s fair will, for the first time in its history, be hosted under fully covered exhibition pavilions—a significant departure from the traditional open-air format, according to the organisers, BKG Exhibition Limited.

Themed “Driving the Future: Innovation, Commerce, and Mobility,” the 2025 edition promises to be the most dynamic and business-focused yet.
The organisers said the upgrade was aimed at providing a world-class, climate-controlled environment that would enhance visitor comfort, ensure uninterrupted exhibitions, and reflect the calibre of attendees the fair attracts annually.

“For a quarter of a century, the Abuja Motor Fair has been Nigeria’s premier automotive showcase,” said the Chief Organiser.
“This year, we are elevating the experience to match the importance of our audience. Moving to a fully covered, climate-controlled environment is a direct response to feedback from our esteemed exhibitors and visitors.”

High-Calibre Attendance Expected

The event is expected to attract a powerful mix of decision-makers and buyers from across Nigeria and beyond. Top fleet managers, state governments, federal ministries, institutional buyers, and high-net-worth individuals are already confirmed to attend. Invitations have been extended to Federal and State Ministries of Transport, Works, and Finance, all 774 Local Government Areas, key parastatals, agencies, and private sector stakeholders.

The organisers anticipate a significant boost in exhibitor participation and sales, citing the improved venue as a game-changer for business-to-business and business-to-consumer engagements.

“The new format will allow for direct interaction between buyers and manufacturers,” said one of the fair’s coordinators. “Expect live test drives, interactive product demos, exclusive discounts, and more—right on the showroom floor.”

A Strategic Hub for Automotive Commerce

The Abuja International Motor Fair has long served as a strategic hub for automotive procurement and sectoral development, particularly for government bodies and fleet operators seeking large-scale vehicle acquisitions. This year, its expanded focus on electric mobility, logistics solutions, and vehicle financing underscores its role in shaping Nigeria’s automotive future.

Highlights of the 2025 edition

Dedicated B2B & Government Buyers’ Day – Focused networking and deal-making opportunities with senior government officials and corporate fleet managers.

Public Procurement & Fleet Management Forum – A platform to discuss vehicle acquisition challenges and policy alignment in public and private sectors.

Unprecedented Exhibitor Showcase – Featuring the latest sedans, SUVs, trucks, buses, and electric vehicles from top Nigerian and international brands.

National Automotive Policy Dialogue – A high-level summit involving regulators, investors, and OEMs to discuss policy, local assembly, and innovation.

Open to the public, designed for business

While industry professionals remain the core target, the fair will also be open to the general public, offering car lovers, families, and aspiring vehicle owners an up-close look at the newest models on the market. Attendees can access auto-financing options, promotional service packages, and special giveaways from participating brands and sponsors.

Entertainment segments, daily presentations, and interactive sessions with insurance and finance firms will ensure a vibrant, business-friendly atmosphere throughout the four-day event.

Looking ahead

With the move to covered pavilions and a renewed focus on mobility innovation and commercial impact, the 25th Abuja International Motor Fair sets a new benchmark for automotive exhibitions in Nigeria and West Africa.

“We are using this platform to elevate the standard,” the organisers affirmed. “This year’s fair will not just be a display of vehicles—it will be a celebration of mobility, innovation, and commerce.”
