Several prominent community leaders were also caught up in the violence, with reports indicating that some sustained injuries requiring medical attention. Authorities have not disclosed the exact number of casualties, but local residents described the situation as chaotic and alarming.
Security operatives were deployed to the area to restore order and prevent further escalation. The clash follows a recurring pattern of communal tensions in Kaduna State, where disputes among youth groups and inter-community rivalries have previously led to arson, injuries, and displacement.
Local stakeholders have called for calm and dialogue to avert more destruction, urging government intervention and community-led peace efforts to address the root causes of the unrest. Investigations are ongoing to determine the triggers of the clash and hold responsible individuals accountable.
