How gunmen killed my dad — Son of Osun APC chair

Aregbesola, son of the chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) Atakumosa East Local Government of Osun State, Chief Gbenga Ogbara, has narrated how gunmen killed his father.

Aregbesola, who sustained a bullet wound during the attack with his mother, Ruth, spoke on Monday with The Nation on his hospital bed.

According to him: “We were coming from the shop yesterday with my mother when we saw some people on a bike.

“Minutes later, one of them knocked on our gate demanding to see my father. When he approached the gate to open it, he (my father) spotted the danger and attempted to run but was shot in the back several times.

“The assailants shot at us through the window and one of the bullets hit my left hand.”
