Hyundai is set to launch this month a facelift version of its popular mid-size SUV, Creta, in the international market.
The Korean automaker has kept fans in the last few days occupied trying to figure out what the new model will look like with the release of fresh features of the 2022 Creta facelift’s updated interiors ahead of the launch.
The vehicle will make its global debut at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show 2021 (GIIAS), says Hyundai Motors Indonesia.
The teaser of the upcoming Creta released by Hyundai Motors facelift suggests that the updated Creta will receive a major revised front end. It is likely that the grille will be of a smoother shape extending to the SUV’s edges.
The spy shots of the SUV suggest that new-gen Creta will come with a design inspired heavily by its larger sibling Tuscon/Santa Cruz, reports news18.com.
Going by the teaser video released by the automaker, the report says the new Creta will come with Hyundai Sensuous Sportiness design language seen in the current version of the SUV.
“The company, however, is expected to introduce some new design touches like redesigned rectangular headlamps, new parametric grille, new spilt tail lamps and other such elements. While the earlier spy shots had only given a glimpse of the SUV’s exteriors, the teaser reveals details about the interiors as well,” it states.
The SUV will be offered with safety features such as Stolen Vehicle Tracking & Stolen Vehicle Immobilization and a special Valet Parking Mode feature, according to Hyundai Motors Indonesia.
The new Creta will have an all-digital instrument cluster that adapts its UI in the drive mode selected. Fans will be thrilled to find in the new-gen Creta features such a remote start/stop option that can be operated via the Hyundai BlueLink app on the owner’s smartphone.
The teaser also reveals the presence of Lane Drive Assist and a button to enable and disable the feature is seen on the steering wheel.
A panoramic sunroof and premium Bose speakers found in the previous version of the SUV are also present in the new model.
Hyundai is unlikely to change the engine configuration of the Creta since it is just a facelift.
The current model of Creta is offered in both petrol and diesel option that include a 138bhp/242Nm 1.4-litre T-GDi petrol unit, a 113bhp/250Nm 1.5-litre diesel motor and a 113bhp/144Nm torque 1.5-litre NA petrol engine.
The new Hyundai Creta facelift will come with LED headlights which will be more detailed in a vertical arrangement lower in the bumper with a rich dark finish.
Tail lamps LED at the rear will get an inward extension to make a cohesive shape. The Creta will have Bluelink, a technology that helps users to connect their vehicles and smartphones.
The upcoming Creta was earlier spotted testing in several international locations.
