I didn’t withdraw Bola Ige’s case from court, Ladoja replies Bisi Akande
Former Governor of Oyo State, Rashidi Ladoja, has refuted allegations made by former Osun State Governor, Chief Bisi Akande, regarding the assassination of former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Chief Bola Ige.
Speaking on Monday during an interview at his Ondo Street residence in Ibadan, Ladoja accused Akande of making false claims, stressing, “Chief Akande lied against me.”
Akande had recently said Ladoja possessed crucial information about the unresolved murder of Bola Ige.
Ladoja, Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, however, dismissed the insinuation, urging Akande to desist from making baseless allegations.
Ladoja said, “Chief Bola Ige was assassinated on December 23, 2001. I became governor on May 29, 2003, which was 18 months before my tenure began.

“We are all deeply saddened by Ige’s death. We are all concerned about his murder. I was very close to Chief Bola Ige when he was alive.”
