A joint operation between the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the FBI has led to the apprehension of a notorious cybercriminal and his partner, who had been wanted by law enforcement agencies for an extended period. Currently, the two individuals are in custody at the State Police headquarters, where they are being questioned by the authorities. The investigation revealed their involvement in defrauding American citizens of significant sums of money through various online scams, such as credit card fraud, Facebook scams, and hacking.

In her statement at the EFCC headquarters, the female suspect confessed to participating in sacrificial rituals to ensure the success of their fraudulent activities. She disclosed that they had transitioned from conventional internet scams to engaging in occult practices, where she made the sacrifice of her womb to enhance her boyfriend’s prosperity in his illicit online ventures.

The arrest of these individuals was made possible due to meticulous intelligence gathering by the EFCC, which uncovered substantial evidence of their alleged criminal operations. Following their arrest, the suspects were presented at a public parade held at the EFCC headquarters in Lagos.

Their criminal activities came to light when they impersonated engineers and duped an American citizen out of a considerable amount of money.
