“Our country’s potential has yet to fully blossom, requiring dedicated effort and consistent prayers from each one of us. We are committed to harnessing our strength to unlock this potential for the greater good of all Nigerians,” Tinubu affirmed.
Acknowledging the significance of collective prayers, he added, “May Allah accept all our prayers, individually and collectively, for the good of the nation and its people. During his stay in Makkah, Tinubu was hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, accompanied by a special cleric from the King’s palace, Sheikh Dakilullah Al-Makky. Together with the Imam of State House Mosque, Sheikh Abdulwahab Suleiman, they conducted prayers at the conclusion of the over two-hour ritual.
The Umrah, a lesser Hajj ritual performed by Muslims at various times of the year, involves circumambulating the Kaaba seven times and moving back and forth between Safa and Marwa seven times. Notably, this ritual was also observed by the governors of Bauchi, Niger, and Katsina states, along with the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, NNPCL Group Chief Executive Officer, and other high-ranking government officials.
Tinubu’s presence in Saudi Arabia coincides with the Saudi-Africa summit, drawing leaders and business representatives from both regions. The President’s commitment to transformative reforms echoes beyond national borders, signifying a broader vision for positive change and development in the African context.
