Ibom Air incident: Comfort Emmanson speaks out after release from detention

Comfort Emmanson, the passenger detained following an alleged altercation with a flight attendant on an Ibom Air flight, has broken her silence after regaining her freedom from Kirikiri Prison.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Emmanson thanked her supporters for their prayers, love, and encouragement during her ordeal. She admitted that the experience had taken a toll on her physically and emotionally, and said she is still in the process of recovery.

Expressing deep gratitude to her loved ones and to God, she revealed plans to undergo medical treatment before publicly sharing her full account of the incident.

“Thank you so much for all the Prayers, Love, and support, I’ve been released from the Prison, but I’m still in pains due to how I was treated. I just need some rest and medical treatment before I give out my own version of the event. Thank you so much my Lovely Friends and Supporters. I really appreciate y’all from the button of my heart. God bless y’all. THANK YOU MY GREAT GOD!!!”, she wrote.

Emmanson’s release followed the withdrawal of charges by the complainant and Ibom Air, prompting the court to discharge her.
