Nigerian rap star, Panshak Henry Xamani, popularly known as ‘Ice Prince Zamani
A Magistrate Court sitting in the Ajah area of Lagos State has ordered the remand of hip-hop artist, Ice Prince Zamani, at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre for allegedly assaulting a police officer.
The spokesman of the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest of Ice Prince Zamani.
In an early morning tweet on his Twitter handle, Hundeyin said Ice Prince was arrested at about 3am for driving a vehicle without a number plate.
After agreeing to be taken to the police station, he was accused of assaulting, abducting and threatening to thrown the policeman with him into the river.

He was subsequently arraigned same day before the court on a three-count charge of assault, obstructing a policeman from carrying out his statutory duties and abduction.
When the counts were read to Ice Prince, he pleaded not guilty.
Magistrate Taiwo Oyaniyi subsequently granted him bail in the sum of N500,000.
He is also to furnish the court with two responsible sureties.
However, pending when he meets the bail conditions, Magistrate Taiwo ordered his remand and adjourned further proceedings in the case till September 7.
