I’m 70, few months older than Kukah, says Tinubu

Presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has declared that he is older than 70-year-old Bishop Matthew Kukah.

He stated this at the 70th birthday anniversary of the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto State, Kukah, in Abuja.

Over the years, there has been controversy over Tinubu’s age.

While some Nigerians believe that Tinubu is above 80 years, the APC presidential candidate insists that he is 70 years old.

Tinubu said, “I’m just months older than you are. I am 70, too. But Bishop, you will help build not just the institution but the greatness of a nation. You are building an institution in honour of your 70th birthday.

“But Bishop, you will help build Nigeria. The greatness of a nation is on your shoulder. It’s on my shoulder, too, and we must build it together.

“I must, and I will contribute handsomely and personally to build and see to the completion of that institution.”
