I’m not here to sell land, Wike speaks on mission serving in Tinubu govt
Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has dismissed the notion that he came to Abuja for personal benefits including selling the pricey land.
He also disclosed real reasons he accepted to serve in President Bola Tinubu administration.
Wike said he accepted to be part of the All Progressives Congress (APC) government because he wanted to help the administration of Bola Tinubu.
Speaking during the flag off of the construction of the 15.4-kilometre Pai-Gomani road project in Kwali Area Council on Tuesday, Wike said he did not become a minister to sell land in Abuja.
The former Rivers State governor said, “The government of President Ahmed Tinubu will allow everybody to benefit, to participate, to have the dividends of democracy.”
The minister also asked Nigerians to be patient with Tinubu’s government amid the widespread hardship in the country.

He said the Tinubu government had made it part of its agenda to provide the needed infrastructure in the FCT.
“I want to say clearly, let everybody hear me; I did not become a minister to come and sell land. I took this position to support Mr. President to improve the infrastructure of the FCT. That is why every day, our concern is infrastructure and infrastructure, be it in the city or rural areas.
