I’m not involved in national prayers for economic recovery – Remi Tinubu
The First Lady, Senator Remi Tinubu, says she is not part of any national prayers being organised for the recovery of the economy.
It was reported that the First Lady, in collaboration with other persons, is planning the prayer session for the country.
Spokesperson for the First Lady, Busola Kukoyi, in a statement on Saturday, described the report as misleading and untrue.
“This is to clarify and inform the general public that the First Lady of Nigeria, Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON is not organizing a National Prayer.
“The news making the rounds in some conventional and social media platforms is unfounded and misleading. “Consequently, anyone who might have come across the purported news of the joint National Prayer for Nigeria should disregard it as false,” Kukoyi said.
She urged journalists to always verify the authenticity of news about her principal.
Busola, however, said the First Lady understands the importance of prayers for the country.
