I’m refreshed, strong, ready for task ahead – Tinubu
President-elect, Bola Tinubu, says he is strong and ready for the task ahead of him.
Tinubu returned to the country on Monday afternoon after spending one month in France as earlier reported by Newstrends.
Tinubu was welcomed by a crowd of supporters at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
The president-elect had travelled out of the country after the March 18 governorship election.
Speaking shortly after he returned to the country, Tinubu told Nigerians to ignore reports from rumour mongers that he underwent a surgery.
“I’m happy to be back. I have rested, I’m refreshed and I’m ready for the task ahead,” he was quoted in a statement by his spokesman, Tunde Rahman.
“Forget about what the rumour mill may have told you. I’m strong, very strong.”
The president-elect said he had been consulting on setting up a strong team ahead of the May 29 inauguration.
Tinubu will be sworn in as Nigeria’s president on May 29 to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.
