Immigration Arrests Suspects With 29 Cartons Of Hard Drugs At Jigawa Border

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Jigawa State Command has arrested three people suspected to be drug traffickers with 29 cartons of Nervigesic capsules.

 The Comptroller, Mr. Ahmed Dauda Bagari stated this while briefing reporters on Thursday, at the NIS headquarters in Dutse.

He said the drug peddlers were arrested along Falata Birniwa road with 29 cartons of Nervigesic Capsules on their way to the Niger Republic.

 He explained that one black Jeep out of four vehicles that were pursued by his men was apprehended, loaded with 29 cartons of hard drugs.

 According to Bagari, one Nigerian passport, three knives and other items were found in the arrested persons.

 He further explained that on the same day, his men arrested a man suspected to be a cattle rustler with one cow along the Hadejia road.
