Imo Police Detain 25 Suspects Linked to Armed Robbery, Terrorism
The Imo State Police Command has apprehended 25 suspects believed to be involved in armed robbery and terrorism across multiple communities, in a significant crackdown aimed at restoring security and public safety in the state.
Police sources said the operation, conducted in high-risk areas, was based on credible intelligence that identified individuals allegedly planning or executing criminal acts that threatened residents’ lives and property. During the raids, officers reportedly recovered weapons and evidence linking the suspects to various attacks, further strengthening the ongoing investigations.
The Imo State Commissioner of Police affirmed the force’s commitment to tackling violent crime and terrorism, emphasizing that the arrests demonstrate the police’s determination to protect citizens and enforce law and order. He reassured communities that targeted security operations will continue until the perpetrators of violent crimes are fully neutralized.
