Indian man sets wife ablaze for giving birth to three daughters
A man set his wife on fire after she gave birth to their third daughter in Maharashtra’s Parbhani district, India, police said on Saturday, December 28, 2024.
The incident, which was caught on a nearby CCTV camera, occurred on Thursday night in Gangakhed Naka, about 520 kilometres from Mumbai.
The accused, Kundlik Uttam Kale (32), often argued with his wife, Maina, over having three daughters, as detailed in a complaint filed by her sister.

During one such argument, Kale poured petrol on Maina and set her on fire.
Maina ran out of the house screaming, and neighbours attempted to extinguish the flames.
However, she suffered severe burns and d!ed on the way to the hospital.
The Gangakhed police have arrested Kale on charges of murder.
