The Independent National Electoral Commission has officially declared open the national collation centre for the 2023 presidential and National Assembly elections.
INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, performed the task of opening the centre Sunday afternoon at a short ceremony and disclosed that the forum would reconvene by 6pm Sunday hopefully for the first set of election results coming from the states.
The event was attended by the Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba.
The news conference to mark the opening of the centre in Abuja was also graced by chief electoral officers of many African countries and INEC national commissioners.
