Iranian president declares end to war with Israel
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has declared an end to war with Israel after missile exchanges for close to two weeks.
Mr Pezeshkian announced the “end of the 12-day war” in a statement on Tuesday, the state broadcaster IRNA news agency reported.
“Today, after the heroic resistance of our great nation, whose determination makes history, we are witnessing the establishment of a truce and the ending of this 12-day war imposed by the adventurism and provocation” of Israel, Mr Pezeshkian said.

Mr Pezeshkian said Iran had reached a truce with the U.S. after the war that started on June 13.
The war began after Israel struck Iran’s nuclear and military complex, killing the country’s top three military officials and six nuclear scientists.
Amid the war, the U.S. launched an attack on three Iranian nuclear sites, eliciting Iran’s retaliatory attack on the country’s airbase in Qatar.
