A student of a secondary school Oyo State, simply identified as Ajika Secondary School, Oriyu Ganiyu Abueda, who was caught smoking Indian hemp on the school premises, has confessed that he picked up the habit from his days in Junior Secondary School 1.
The student made the confession while he was being questioned, apparently by his teachers, after he was caught with others.
Nine of them were caught smoking Indian hemp on the school’s premises.
The Senior Secondary School 1 student confessed when confronted by the people who caught him in the act that had been smoking this harmful substance since he was in JSS 1.
Abueda further stated that Malik Saheed, younger brother of his mother, whom he simply identified Rofiat, who hails from Ijbata, Ile baale Agbe, introduced him to smoking when he took him to Lagos State for a short while.

The teenage boy pointed out that eight of his schoolmates contributed money to buy the substance somewhere in Alalubosa, Oyo State and that also during school hours, he leaves his class for the toilet with his friends to smoke.
He said: “We are about eight to 10 students that buy and smoke this drug.
“There are others who come to buy this this drug too.
“I don’t know their names but I can recognise them.”
Abueda said both of his parents are not always around so he I able to engage in smoking without their knowledge.
He had also been extra careful not be caught all this while, he said.
When challenged about the effects of this harmful drug, he said: “It doesn’t do anything good to me neither do I know the effects.
“I just smoke for the fun of it.”
