JAMB’s staff member wins N15m DSS DG’s best project award
A deputy director with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Mr. Jamilu Jauro, has been awarded the N15 million prize for the best project at the Executive Intelligence Management Course (EIMC) 17, 2024, hosted by the National Institute for Security Studies (NISS).
A statement by JAMB’s Public Communications Advisor, Dr Fabian Benjamin, on Sunday, said Jauro emerged as the overall best participant in the EIMC 17 project and has been honoured as a Fellow of the Security Institute (fsi) on December 7, 2024.
The theme for EIMC 17 is “Artificial Intelligence, Security, and Emerging Economies in Africa: Challenges and Prospects.”
“This prestigious course attracted participants from 28 Nigerian agencies and seven agencies from five African countries, including Chad, Côte d’Ivoire, The Gambia, Ghana, and Rwanda.

Participants, who are senior public servants at the Deputy Director level or its equivalent in the armed forces, will undergo a rigorous ten-month programme at the institute. Successful candidates will be awarded the Fellow Security Institute (fsi) designation, contingent upon their performance in learning and character, ” the statement said.
While saying the course aims to equip participants with the knowledge necessary to tackle complex security challenges in their respective agencies and countries as well as fostering inter-agency synergy and international collaboration, the exam body congratulated Mr. Jauro for the uncommon feat.
