Jilted husband runs over hotel manager after accusing him of sleeping with his wife

A jilted man is on the run after he hit and killed a hotel manager whom he accused of sleeping with his wife.

Police in Uganda identified the hotel manager as 55-year-old Justus Muhwezi.

“The deceased was the manager of Kings Hotel Rukungiri. He was knocked by one William Sebikaru who is on the run,” Kigezi Regional Police Spokesperson Elly Maate said.

Police explained that the suspect, who was driving a Toyota Harrier, on Monday, December 18, 2023, at around 11:30 am hit and ran over the manager who was a pillion passenger on a boda boda.

“Sebikaru followed the boda boda while driving his vehicle and intentionally knocked them from behind,” police said.

The hotel manager was rushed to Nyakibale Hospital in critical condition where he was pronounced dead shortly after admission.
