Cedric Autos, one of the emerging forces in Nigeria’s automobile market, is turning heads at the ongoing Lagos International Trade Fair, holding at Tafawa Balewa Square, with its impressive lineup of vehicles including the Jim Isuzu pickup, Voyah Dreamer MPV, and Leap Motor C-16 EV.

General Manager, Commercials, Cedric Autos, Mr Eze Igwe, told journalists at the fair ground that Nigerians are very excited with their range of vehicles which boasts latest technologies with modern design.

Cedric represents four of the leading auto brands in Nigeria: Jim Isuzu, Voyah Dreamer, Leap Motor and Roar.

The Cedric stand has remained a very busy place as many visitors troop to the arena at the fair to make enquiries and even place orders for the vehicles.

Leading the pack for Cedric is the Jim Isuzu pickup, which the company has been assembling in Nigeria for the past three years. Over 100 units are already plying Nigerian roads, with customers giving positive feedback on the performance and durability.

“We have been assembling the Isuzu pickup for three years, and what you are seeing here is the 2025 edition, which competes favourably with the Toyota Hilux and other top models in the segment,” Igwe said.

According to him, the company also assembles a 14-seater Roar bus, positioned to rival the Toyota Hiace in comfort and reliability.

“The Jim Isuzu pickup is one of the most powerful in the Nigerian market, equipped with proven Isuzu technology and robust performance,” he added.

The Jim Isuzu is available in double cabin, with options of manual or automatic transmission, and powered by either petrol or factory-fitted CNG engines. Igwe revealed that the company also offers CNG conversion services for customers seeking more affordable fuel alternatives.

Highlighting what makes the model stand out, he said, “Our pickup is top of the range in its segment. It features an 8-speed transmission, a tough Isuzu engine, advanced suspension and transmission system, and delivers the best fuel efficiency in its class.”

The Jim Isuzu pickup comes with a three-year or 100,000km warranty, supported by a robust aftersales network. Igwe recommended the vehicle for families, logistics firms, banks, the military, and top professionals seeking rugged yet comfortable vehicles.

He noted that pickup trucks are increasingly becoming family cars in Nigeria due to their versatility and road-handling strength. “Isuzu remains the market leader in the pickup segment, with engines that can last decades. The best part is that these vehicles are assembled right here in Nigeria,” he said.

The pickups are now being assembled as Semi Knocked Down (SKD) units, but plans are underway to commence Complete Knock Down (CKD) production.

Igwe said Cedric Autos would expand its footprint with new outlets in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Kaduna and Enugu in the first quarter of next year.
