Popular Nollywood actress Judy Austin has advised young women not to rush into marriage simply because of pregnancy, warning that such decisions often lead to regret.

Speaking during a viral Instagram Live session, Judy urged her followers to think carefully before agreeing to marry anyone, especially under pressure from pregnancy or societal expectations.

“Don’t marry a man because you’re pregnant for him; you will regret it,” she cautioned. “The first question you should ask yourself is, can I spend the rest of my life with this guy?”

The actress, who has been in the spotlight amid controversies surrounding her relationship with actor Yul Edochie, said marriage requires emotional maturity and mental readiness, qualities many young women may not yet have developed.

“Date people, learn people, understand that you can’t trust anyone except yourself and God,” Judy advised.

According to her, marriage should never be entered into out of fear, guilt, or external pressure. Instead, she stressed, it should be based on mutual understanding, love, and compatibility.

Judy reminded her audience that marriage is a lifelong commitment, urging young girls to prioritize personal growth, self-awareness, and wisdom before making such critical decisions.

“Take your time. Know yourself. Choose wisely,” she concluded.
