Julius Agwu confirms crashed marriage, says wife got tired and left

Nigerian ace comedian, Julius Agwu, has confirmed the crash of his marriage to his wife of 14 years, Ibiere,

The 49-year-old made this known in an interview with media personality, Daddy Freeze, saying his wife apparently had had enough of their marriage and decided to leave.

He however said he was happy despite his failed marriage.

His words: “My wife said she is not marrying me again; she said she is tired of the marriage.

“That’s why I thank God I am alive. Satan works in mysterious ways, but God works in miraculous ways.”

Ibiere was reported to have abandoned her matrimonial home, reverted to her maiden name, and travelled abroad with their kids.

The couple was said to have been going through trying times for some years on account of Agwu’s ill health.

Agwu also said the rumours about his health failure are true.

He disclosed that in 2016, he was admitted to a London hospital, where he was in a coma for three months.

He said,  “It is true. I had a brain tumour in 2015. When I travelled to London to do a show, just two days before the show, I was rushed to the hospital.

“I was in a coma for three months. I thank God I am alive.”

They got married on May 31, 2008 and are blessed with two kids, Zahra and Zadok.
