The Nigeria’s auto industry is in grief as the Chairman of Lanre Shittu Motors, Alhaji Olanrewaju Rasak Shittu, has passed on.
He reportedly died in the early hours of Monday after a protracted illness. He was aged 65.
Executive Director of Lanre Shittu Motors, Taiwo Shittu, who is one of the children, confirmed the death of the Nigeria’s auto industry giant and socialite.
The burial will be performed Tuesday 1pm at Ikoyi, in line with the Muslims rites, according to a family source.
Commiserating with the family, former Senate President Bukola Saraki, wrote on his Tweeter handle, ” I offer my heartfelt condolences to his family and pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) grants him a place in Al Jannah Firdaus.
“During this difficult time, my thoughts and prayers are with the Shittu family.”
