A former player of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Justice Christopher, has died at the age of 40.
The former international midfielder reportedly slumped in his hotel located in Gwolshe, off Tudunwada Ring Road, Jos, in the early hours of Wednesday.
Christopher was said to be managing high blood pressure found to be mild before his death.
The deceased was seen on Tuesday with his friends said to be full of life and never showed any sign of serious health issue.
His body has been reportedly deposited at the Plateau Specialists Hospital in Jos with an autopsy expected to be conducted at the hospital before his burial.
Christopher played for several clubs, such as Katsina United, Sharks F.C., Bendel Insurance FC, Antwerp FC (Belgium), Levski Sofia (Bulgaria), Trelleborgs FF (Sweden), Alania Vladikavkaz in Russia and Herfølge BK in Denmark.
He announced his retirement from football at the end of the 2006/2007 season.
On 21 October 2012, he announced his comeback and signed for Nasarawa United.
He played for Nigeria national football team and was a participant at the 2002 FIFA World Cup.
