Just in: Fire guts Supreme Court building
Fire gut the Supreme Court building located at the Three Arms Zone, Abuja, on Monday morning.
Offices of three judges of the apex court had been razed as the fire continued to spread as of 9.30am it was learnt.
The cause of the inferno was unknown as of the time of filing this report.
A source at the Federal Fire Service said firefighters were at the scene.
The fire incident, which occurred in the early hours of Monday, is coming as the apex court prepares to resume sitting to hear the appeals of the cases filed by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party (LP) over the last Presidential elections and the victory of President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The PDP and the LP had lost their cases at the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal and look up to the apex court in their bid to upturn President Tinubu’s victory.
