Recall that Justice Adolphus Enebeli (retd.), Chairman of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission, declared 22 chairmanship candidates from the Action Peoples Party victorious in the October 5 local government elections.
In Port Harcourt on Saturday, Justice Enebeli, who also served as Chief Electoral Commissioner for the election, announced the results, stating that the candidates secured the majority of valid votes across two-thirds of the wards in their respective local governments.
He further explained that the chairmanship results for Etche Local Government were withheld due to the large size of the area, which comprises 19 wards, causing delays in the collation process.
