Four children are among six people rescued by security agents two days after they were abducted by gunmen that attacked Edo train station.
The Edo State Government announced the development in a statement on Monday.
The rescued victims were identified as a 65-year-old man, a nursing mother with her baby, a six-year-old girl, and two siblings aged two and five years old, respectively.
Security forces, assisted by local hunters, have launched a search-and-rescue operation for the victims shortly after news broke about the attack and the kidnap.
Some of those who managed to flee reportedly sustained bullet wounds.
