Taraba State House of Assembly Speaker, Joseph Albasu Kunini, has resigned.
He tendered his resignation letter on Wednesday and it was read during plenary and simply said the action was taken on “personal grounds”.
It was learnt that Wednesday’s session in which the former Speaker tendered his resignation took place before the official plenary time.
Deputy Speaker of the House, Hamman Adama Abdullahi, presided over the early morning plenary where he read Kunini’s resignation letter dated December 21.
