Just in: Tinubu returns to Nigeria after Europe visit
President-elect, Bola Tinubu, is back in Nigeria after a working visit to Europe.
Tinubu had met with Rabiu Kwankwaso, presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and he could be joining his cabinet.
Tinubu, who spent about 10 days in Europe, was received at the Abuja airport by Senate President Ahmad Lawan, Kashim Shettima, vice-president-elect, Godswill Akpabio, a former minister of Niger Delta affairs, and Abdullahi Ganduje, governor of Kano, among others.
Tunde Rahman, Tinubu’s media aide, had said his principal would meet with investors and finetune transition plans.
The former governor of Lagos State is expected to assume office on May 29 when the second term of President Muhammadu Buhari elapses.
