Kaduna School Graduates 82 Qur’an Memorisers

An Islamic school in Kaduna, Abubakar Saddiq Li’tahfiz Wa Kirasatul Islamiyya, on Sunday graduated no fewer than 82 Qur’an memorizers.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the graduands were 63 from the Islamic section of the school’s primary class while 19 were from the junior class of the Qur’an memorisation section.

The graduation was the 14th and 10th of both sections of the school respectively.

The Principal of the Islamic section of the school, Malam Ahmad Abubakar, said the 14th graduation for the primary section in the history of the school, marked an important milestone in its history.

He said that the school, which was founded in 2000, started academics with 13 students.

“Now we have a lot of students in different sections of the school because of our disciplined and doggedness in instilling knowledge and character to our students,” he said.

Abubakar said the school now had Islamic and Western education sections, comprising of Qur’an memorisation section, junior secondary and Islamic education section.

He stressed the importance of Islamic education, saying it was the knowledge that would guide one’s conduct to attain success in the hereafter.

He called on the graduands to continue to study even after graduation, noting that learning never ended.

He also called on parents to give much concern to the Islamic education of their children, noting that it was the only key in getting to reach ones’ creator with fulfillment of His commands to the values of good deeds. (NAN)
