Katsina governor escapes death in road accident
Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, was involved in a minor road accident on Sunday evening along the Daura–Katsina highway, shortly after visiting the hometown of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari.
The incident reportedly occurred moments after the governor concluded a condolence visit to Buhari’s residence in Daura, where he joined other dignitaries in paying tribute to the late statesman.

Confirming the incident, Ibrahim Mohammed, the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, assured the public that Governor Radda was unharmed and did not sustain any serious injuries.
He also noted that the governor has since resumed his official duties.
“We are pleased to confirm that the governor is in good health and stable condition, with no serious injuries sustained,” the statement read.
Mohammed added that Governor Radda was “in high spirits and expresses his gratitude to Almighty Allah for His protection, as well as to Katsina citizens and well-wishers for their prayers and concern.”
