Lagos artisan remanded for allegedly raping employer’s wife
A 27-year-old tiler, Qudus Kazeem has been remanded at the Ikoyi Correctional Center after he was arraigned by the police for allegedly for allegedly raping the wife of his employer in Surulere area of Lagos.
Kazeem was arraigned before Surulere Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos on Tuesday on a four-count charge of unlawful sexual intercourse, threat to life, obtaining money under false pretences, and stealing.
The prosecutor, Insp Reuben Solomon, told the court that kazeem committed the offences sometime in the month of December 2022, at No, 8/10, Kola John, off Feyintola Giwa St., Surulere, Lagos.
Solomon alleged that Kazeem who was employed to lay tiles in the apartment of one left his work and forced himself on his employer’s wife.

According to him, the defendant threatened to ruin the victim’s marriage if she did not send money to him or willingly have intercourse with him .
Solomon said the alleged offences contravened Sections 56 (1) (a), 260, 280 and 314 (1) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
Magistrate Mrs Sanusi Adagun, remanded the defendant in prison.
Adagun also directed the prosecutor to duplicate the case file and forward a copy to the State Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for legal advice.
She adjourned the case until Dec. 18 for mention
