The state Commissioner for Transportation, Dr Frederic Oladeinde, in a statement said the repairs would be done in phases to minimize inconveniences for motorists, adding that the Ijora-bound lane would be closed off to vehicular movement during the first phase and the Apapa-bound lane for the second phase later.
He said gave details of the diversion arrangement, sayin motorists heading towards Ijora axis would be diverted into a counter flow on the Apapa-bound lane and vice versa when the Apapa-bound lane is closed off for repairs, to reduce traffic gridlock during the course of the repairs.
