A lawmaker representing Mushin Constituency II at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Sobur Olayiwola Olawale, slumped on Tuesday in Jos and died moments later.
Olawale, popularly known as Omititi, was among politicians, who attended the kick-off of the campaign of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), in Jos, Plateau State, on Tuesday.
Some said the lawmaker slumped at the rally and was later confirmed dead, another source stated that Olawale was making arrangements to return to Lagos when he slumped.
The late Olawale was born in 1964.
Last Friday, during a novelty football match to celebrate the 50th birthday of the Speaker of the House, Mudashiru Obasa, the late lawmaker played in the match as the goalkeeper.
