Lagos Port workers chant ‘Ole’ (thief) as farewell to retired female customs officer leaving office (video)

Dock and port workers at Car Park C, Tin Can Port in Lagos embarrassed a female customs officer on what was said to be her final day at work.

The officer, said to have attained the position of Assistant Commissioner in the customs service, received the unusal farewell on Wednesday,  October 23.

As she was descending a staircase on her way out of her office, workers are seen standing outside in their numbers, chanting “Isa, ole (thief).”

Some of them held placards. Others raised their fists on the air as they screamed “ole”.

The chants continued even after she left the premises.
