The state Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, who made the announcement in a statement on Sunday, said the repair works on the bridge is scheduled from Wednesday, December 4, 2024, to Tuesday, February 25, 2025.

“Alternative Routes for Motorists: From Apapa to Lagos Island:

“Motorists can go through Costain Roundabout, link Eko Bridge, and proceed to Lagos Island.

“Alternatively, from Apapa, motorists may link Ijora 7Up via Marine Bridge, access the ramp to Ijora Causeway Access Road through Ijora Oloye, and connect to Eko Bridge to reach Lagos Island.

“From Apapa to Ijora Causeway/Iddo:

Motorists are advised to link Costain Roundabout to access Eko Bridge, then connect Ijora Causeway and proceed to the ramp through the U-turn to link Iddo.

“Another option is to link Ijora 7Up via Marine Bridge, access Ijora Causeway through Ijora Oloye, and connect to Iddo.

“During this period, traffic from Costain Roundabout heading inbound Apapa will remain uninterrupted.

“Motorists are implored to be patient, as this measure aims to ensure smooth operations during the repair works,” Osiyemi pleaded.
