Lagos woman testifies at church service of giving birth to stolen baby
A lady simply identified as Blessing has been arrested for stealing a one-month-old baby boy, the police in Lagos have said.
The mother of the stolen baby reported the case at the Elere Police Division in Agege, a suburb in the state where the incident happened, on Monday afternoon, the state police command spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed on Wednesday.
Confirming the development to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) l, Hundeyin stated that the mother, whose identity is not disclosed, said the incident happened on Saturday.

According to him, the mother of the baby reported that at about 7.00a.m. on Saturday, while she was sleeping at home with her baby, Blessing allegedly stole her child and went away.
The command’s image maker said that the suspect after stealing the child allegedly went to church to give testimony of giving birth to the baby.
Hundeyin said that the suspect was later traced to the Agbotikuyo area in Agege where the baby was recovered from her.
He said that an investigation was ongoing on the case.
