Landlord Stabbed to Death Over N1,500 Electricity Bill in Delta Community
A landlord, identified as Mr Lucky Obaze, has been allegedly stabbed to death by his tenant in Boji-Boji Owa, Ika North-East Local Government Area of Delta State, following a dispute over a N1,500 electricity bill.
The Delta State Police Command confirmed the incident on Tuesday through its Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Bright Edafe, who disclosed that two suspects are involved and are currently on the run.
Although police authorities did not provide full details of the circumstances surrounding the killing, a source familiar with the incident said the trouble started when the landlord approached the tenant to collect the electricity bill.

According to the source, the tenant, who lives in a one-room apartment within the compound alongside his brother, reportedly engaged the landlord in a heated argument over the N1,500 charge.
After the confrontation, the landlord was said to have returned to his apartment upstairs to rest. Moments later, the tenant allegedly came back armed with a knife and stabbed him, leading to his death.
The police said efforts are ongoing to track down and arrest the fleeing suspects, while investigations into the fatal stabbing continue.
